How life path number is worked out
Numerology assigns each letter a number from one to nine and reduces dates the same way. The Life Path comes from the date of birth, reduced month, day and year separately before summing — which is the step most quick calculations get wrong.
The name-based numbers use the Pythagorean system: Expression from every letter, Soul Urge from the vowels, Personality from the consonants. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are traditionally left unreduced, and you can toggle that here.
Worked example
The calculator opens with a full birth name of Jane Alexandra Smith, keep master numbers (11, 22, 33)? of Yes. On those figures the life Path number is 9. Underneath, Meaning comes out at Humanitarian, idealistic, giving and Expression / Destiny at 8 (from 71). Change any field and every figure updates as you type.
