Grow a Garden Mutation Calculator

Stack growth and environmental mutations to find the combined multiplier in Grow a Garden, and apply it to any crop’s base value.

How grow a garden mutation is worked out

Mutations are where Grow a Garden values explode. This mutation calculator lets you pick a growth mutation and tick every environmental mutation, then shows the combined multiplier the way the community stacks them — so you can see what a Rainbow crop covered in high-tier mutations is really worth.

Environmental mutations don’t each multiply on their own; they add together as 1 + (sum of multipliers − count), and that result is multiplied by the growth mutation. Enter a base value to see the final number, or leave it blank to just read the multiplier.

Try it with these numbers

The calculator opens with a growth mutation of 1, environmental mutations of on. On those figures the total multiplier is ×1. Underneath, Growth × comes out at ×1 and Environment × at ×1. Change any field and every figure updates as you type.

How to fill it in

  1. Pick the growth mutation — None, Gold ×20 or Rainbow ×50.
  2. Tick every environmental mutation the crop has; the tool stacks them for you.
  3. Optionally enter a base value to see the mutated value, and read the total multiplier at the top.

How the number is calculated

growth = None ×1 · Silver ×5 · Gold ×20 · Rainbow ×50 environment = 1 + (Σ multipliers − count) total multiplier = growth × environment

Questions people ask about this

How do Grow a Garden mutations stack?
Growth mutations (Gold, Rainbow) multiply the value directly. Environmental mutations add together first — 1 + (sum of their multipliers − how many there are) — and that combined figure multiplies the value too.
Can I have Gold and Rainbow at once?
No — growth mutations are exclusive, so a crop is either normal, Gold or Rainbow. Environmental mutations can stack on top of any of them.
Why isn’t it just every multiplier multiplied together?
Multiplying every environmental mutation separately would inflate values far beyond what the community uses. The additive-then-multiply approach matches in-game trading norms.
