The calculation
mean = sum ÷ count
median = middle value when sorted
mode = most frequent value · range = max − min
FAQ
What’s the difference between mean and median?
Mean is the sum divided by the count; median is the middle value when sorted. Median resists outliers better than the mean.
What if there’s no mode?
If every number appears once, there’s no mode. If several tie for most frequent, all of them are modes.
Can I paste numbers from a spreadsheet?
Yes — commas, spaces and line breaks all work as separators, so pasted columns are fine.
