Enter your hourly rate and weekly hours to see net pay per paycheck after federal tax, FICA and state withholding.
How this calculator arrives at its answer
Hourly workers see pay swing with hours, so it helps to know the net figure per week rather than a headline annual salary. This version defaults to hourly input and annualises your hours to work out the correct tax bracket.
The calculator applies pre-tax deductions before income tax, then adds Social Security and Medicare on the full wage, which is how a real payroll run sequences things.
A worked example
The calculator opens with a pay basis of Hourly rate. On those figures the take-home pay is $1,597.4. Underneath, Gross per period comes out at $2,000 and Federal income tax at $149.6. Change any field and every figure updates as you type.
How to use it
- Enter your pay amount and how often you are paid.
- Set your filing status, state and tax year.
- Add pre-tax deductions to see how they change the net figure.
