Common questions
What is the dew point?
The temperature to which air must cool to become saturated. At that point, dew, fog or condensation forms.
Why is dew point better than humidity?
Relative humidity depends on temperature; dew point directly reflects how much moisture is in the air, so it tracks comfort better.
What dew point feels comfortable?
Below about 16°C feels comfortable; above 20°C starts to feel sticky, and above 24°C is oppressive.
