What is a factor?
A whole number that divides another exactly. The factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12.
What’s the difference from prime factorization?
Factors are all divisors; prime factorization is only the prime numbers whose product is n.
How do I know if a number is prime?
It has exactly two factors: 1 and itself. The calculator flags this for you.
