How the electricity cost calculator works
Enter an appliance’s power in watts, how many hours a day it runs, and your price per kWh, and this calculator estimates the running cost over a day, month and year.
It’s an easy way to spot which devices cost the most to run.
A worked example
As an example, with a price per kwh of 0.17, the calculator returns a yearly cost of $310.25. Underneath, Per day comes out at $0.85 and Per month at $25.5. Change any field and every figure updates as you type.
